(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - A tough outing for Canadians RHP Jon Wandling put Vancouver down early as Tri-City would hold on for a 6-4 victory to open up a three-game series between North Division rivals.

Wandling (1-2) was touched up for six earned runs over his three innings of work as the Dust Devils offense scored early and often with a run in the 1st, four more in the 2nd and a final run in the 3rd to set the tone in Thursday's game.

Trailing 6-2 in the bottom of the 4th inning, Vancouver would pull to within a pair of runs as 3B Carl Wise hit his 4th double of the season, scoring C Ryan Hissey (walk). Wise would score on a ground out off the bat of LF Connor Panas to make it 6-4 Tri-City.

The Panas RBI was the last one for either team as pitching took center stage from the 5th inning on as LHP Bob Wheatley went three scoreless innings followed by three more from LHP Michael Kraft to keep the Canadians within reach.

Vancouver would strand five runners from the 5th inning and beyond as Tri-City also got top-end pitching from RHP Wilson Santos (2.2IP) and closer RHP Corey Kimber (1.1IP) to secure the Dust Devils victory, one that keeps them a lone game back of Division leading Everett with three games to play.

The Canadians fall to 15-20 (.429) on the first half and snap a four-game winning streak in the process.
