
Crystal Dunn Named April NWSL Player of the Month

Cary, N.C. - Crystal Dunn has been voted the NWSL Player of the Month for April by the NWSL Media Association. Dunn has helped the North Carolina Courage to a 2W-0L-1D record during the month. She is the first NWSL Player of the Month named during the 2019 season.
Dunn currently leads the league in goals scored with four goals in three matches. She contributed a brace in the NC Courage's April 17 game against the Orlando Pride while scoring once against both the Chicago Red Stars on April 14 and the Houston Dash on April 28.
Dunn has also contributed one assist this season. Eight of her 13 shots have been on target equaling a shot on goal percentage that is over 60%. She has started each match and has played 253 total minutes. In 2018, Dunn scored a total of eight goals and had seven assists.
This is the third time that Dunn has been named NWSL Player of the Month in her career. She first earned the honor in 2015. Dunn was then named the Player of the Month for a second time last season after scoring two goals and creating eight chances in the month of June.
The North Carolina Courage are back in action on Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m. against Sky Blue FC. Tickets for the match at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park can be purchased here or by calling the Coastal Credit Union Box Office at 919-459-8144.
