Syracuse, NY (August 24, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that Joe Guilmet has been named the club's head equipment manager. Guilmet rounds out the Crunch's training staff, joining Athletic Trainer, Joe Huff and Assistant Equipment Manger, Matt Brayfield.

Guilmet, 36, comes to the Crunch after spending the last 12 seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers, most recently serving as the team's equipment manager. Prior to his time in Atlanta, Guilmet spent nine seasons in the International Hockey League, splitting time with the Orlando Solar Bears (1995-99) and San Diego Gulls (1991-95).

A native of San Diego, California, Guilmet served as the equipment manager for Team USA at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy and at the 2001, 2008 and 2009 World Championships.
