Checkers Announce Training Camp Details, Schedule

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers announced today the details of the team's training camp, 'built' by Timberstone Homes, including two preseason games against the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, Sept. 30 (7 p.m.) and Saturday, Oct. 1 (1 p.m.).
Both games will take place at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C. Tickets are $10 for season ticket holders and $15 for the general public ($10 for kids under 12) and can be purchased from Extreme Ice Center or Ticketmaster beginning Thursday, Sept. 8. Extreme Ice Center has a maximum capacity of 1,000 and fans are encouraged to get their tickets as early as possible.
The Checkers will open training camp on Monday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. with the first of eight on-ice sessions open to the public at Extreme Ice Center.

Mon, Oct. 3 - 10 a.m. to noon
Tue, Oct. 4 - 10 a.m. to noon
Wed, Oct. 5 - 10 a.m. to noon
Thu, Oct. 6 - 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Checkers' home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15 at Time Warner Cable Arena against the Peoria Rivermen. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now and start as low as $10 per game. Ticket information can be obtained by calling 704-342-4423 or visiting www.gocheckers.com.
The Carolina Hurricanes and Winnipeg Jets will face-off in an NHL preseason game at Time Warner Cable Arena on Sunday, Sept. 25. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or the TWCA box office.
