Crunch Announce Details of Eagle Newspapers Crunch Community Man of the Year Program

Syracuse, NY (January 21, 2003) – The Syracuse Crunch, along with Eagle Newspapers announced today the details of the Eagle Newspapers Crunch Community Man of the Year program.

Throughout the season Crunch players make appearances at many community activities, such as schools and hospitals. Eagle Newspapers will present the Crunch player that is the most active off the ice in the Central New York Community, as selected by the Crunch's coaches and front office staff, with an award prior to a Crunch game. In addition, a $500 donation will be made to the players local non-profit organization.

The Crunch return home on Friday, January 24 to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 7:30 p.m. match-up. Friday night is FOX and 93Q American Idol Night and Powerade Cap Night, when the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a cap, courtesy of Powerade. On Saturday, January 25 the Crunch host the Albany River Rats for SpongeBob SquarePants Night.
