Crunch Announce 'Big' Guest for Quickway Opening Night

Syracuse, NY (September 17, 2007) -The Syracuse Crunch announced today that Vincent Pastore, known for his role as Sal "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero of HBO's The Sopranos, will appear at the Crunch's Quickway Home Opener on October 13.

Pastore, 61, appeared in the first two seasons of the critically acclaimed show as one of the main characters before it was discovered that his character was wearing a wire for the FBI. His character was killed off at the end of the second season. His character had a recurring role in flashbacks through the end of the show.

The Bronx, NY native has also appeared in a number of other television shows, most notably Las Vegas, My Name is Earl, Everybody Hates Chris and The Practice. His film credits include The Jerky Boys, Serving Sara, Riding in Cars with Boys, Corky Romano, Gotti, Goodfellas and Carlito's Way.

In addition to performing in the Crunch's opening night ceremonies, Pastore will be available for autographs following the first period.

The Crunch open their 14th AHL season on October 5 in Rochester. The club's Quickway Opening Night is set for Saturday, October 13 vs. Hartford.
