Coyotes Recall Demers from Tucson

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Jason Demers from the Tucson Roadrunners, the Club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 30-year-old Demers has missed the Coyotes' last 47 games with a lower-body injury. He played in one game and collected an assist with the Roadrunners during his conditioning stint.

Prior to his injury, Demers recorded 1-2-3 and six penalty minutes (PIM) in 18 games with the Coyotes this season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Dorval, QC has registered 44-150-194 and 350 PIM in 591 career NHL games with the Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers.

Demers was drafted by the Sharks in the seventh round (186th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
