GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes Assistant General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the Coyotes have signed a one-year affiliation agreement with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL.

"We are pleased to be entering into this new affiliation agreement with the Las Vegas Wranglers," said Treliving. "We are looking forward to seeing young Coyotes prospects playing for the Wranglers this season."

The Las Vegas Wranglers, who play their home games at the Orleans Arena, are one of 20 teams in the ECHL, competing in the Pacific Division along with Bakersfield Condors, Ontario Reign and Stockton Thunder. The Wranglers hold the record for the highest winning percentage (.676; 2003-08) in ECHL history. During the 2008-09 season, the Wranglers finished second in the Pacific Division with a 34-31-8 record and advanced to the National Conference finals.

The Wranglers are coached and managed by Ryan Mougenel with former NHL forward Keith Primeau serving as the Director of Player Development.

"Phoenix is an organization that believes in player development and that is a big part of our philosophy in Las Vegas," said Mougenel, the Wranglers' GM/Head Coach. "I am extremely excited to be associated with an organization that is committed to its players and committed to getting them to the next level."

The Wranglers will open their 2009-10 campaign on Oct. 16 against the Utah Grizzlies.
