AMARILLO, Texas- The Edinburg Coyotes lost the first game of the series to the Amarillo Dillas 6-4 Sunday night at the Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa. After a three day break because of bad field conditions, the Coyotes' offense took a little longer to heat up.

Danny Bravo started the bottom of the second inning with a double to right center field. With one out, Andrew Wong hit an RBI triple that scored Bravo from third which gave the Dillas a 1-0 lead. Then, Sam Mclain brought in Wong from third with an RBI single to right field that extended the Dillas lead to 2-0.

But the Coyotes (29-36) answered with a couple of runs of their own in the top of the third inning. Alex Entrekin then hit a double to the right field gap with two outs which kept the inning alive for the Coyotes. Daryl Jones then hit an RBI single to right field that scored Entrekin from second and it tied the game at 2-2.

The Dillas (40-28) offense quickly broke the tie in the top of the third inning. Jonathan Reynoso started the inning off with a double to right field and then he moved to third on a single by Stephen Douglas. With runners on the corners and nobody out, Gary Schneidmiller hit into a double play which allowed Reynoso to score from third and that made the score 3-2.

Bravo extended the lead to 4-2 for the Dillas in the bottom of the sixth inning with his 14th home run of the season.

In the bottom of the seventh inning the Dillas added to their lead with three hits. Josh Ashton led the inning off with a single and later came in to score on and RBI single by Douglas. Then Schneidmiller brought in Douglas with an RBI single to left field which made the score 6-2.
