
Coyotes Acquire Ethan Werek from the New York Rangers

(GLENDALE, ARIZONA) --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired center Ethan Werek from the New York Rangers in exchange for center Oscar Lindberg.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Werek appeared in 47 regular season games with Kingston (Ontario Hockey League) in 2010-11, registering 24-28-52 and 51 penalty minutes. In three playoff games he collected three assists and 12 PIM. In 170 career regular season games with Kingston, Werek recorded 86-93-179 and 202 PIM.
The 19-year-old native of Markham, Ontario was selected by the New York Rangers in the second round (47th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
The 6-foot, 187-pound Lindberg appeared in 41 regular season games with Skelleftea HC (Swedish Elite League) in 2010-11, registering 5-9-14 and 31 PIM. In 18 playoff games he recorded 3-4-7 and four PIM. The 19-year-old native of Skelleftea, Sweden was selected by the Coyotes in second round (57th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft.
