
Coy Named to Post-Season All-Star Team

( Rochester, MN) - Johnny Coy (Wichita State) was named as the Honkers lone Post-Season All-Star for the 2011 Northwoods League season on Saturday. Nick Dolsky (Nebraska) was named to the Mid-Season All-Star team earlier this summer and participated in the 2011 All-Star game.
Coy finished the season with a .309 batting average with 48 runs batted in and 11 home runs. Most impressive, his 48 RBI was in just as many games, with Coy arriving to Rochester in late June, making an immediate impact with an RBI in his first game with th team. Coy doubled 15 times with 60 hits total on the season.
Coy is currently third in the league for RBI and home runs. Mankato's Shaun Cooper was named league MVP after setting the season home run record.
The Honkers will finish the season with two games in Duluth, concluding the 2011 campaign on Sunday evening.
