As the curtain falls on the 2010 portion of the ECHL schedule, the Kalamazoo Wings and Elmira Jackals will get very acquainted with one another. Tonight starts the first of four straight meetings between the teams and the first of two straight at Wings Stadium.
Kalamazoo snapped a two-game winless on Wednesday with a 7-4 victory over the Toledo Walleye. The win gives the K-Wings 27 points on the season and places them in third place in the North Division, two points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones, who currently occupy second.
Going 3-6-1-0 in their last 10 games, Elmira has struggled in the month of December and as a result has fallen out of first place in the Atlantic Division. With 33 points, the Jackals are six points behind division leader, the Reading Royals.

Clarke Debuts
After being traded to Kalamazoo from Stockton on Tuesday, forward Aaron Clarke is set to make his K-Wings debut tonight. A four-year pro, Clarke, who has played in the AHL, has spent a majority of his career in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers.
All-Star Bound
On Thursday, defenseman Steven Tarasuk was selected as the K-Wings representative for the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by CCM. Tarasuk, who is in his first season as a professional, ranks tied for second among Kalamazoo defenseman in scoring with 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists).
Slappy New Year!
Tonight will be the 9th Annual New Year's Eve Bash Presented by COOL 101 and WWMT. Kalamazoo is 3-3-2-0 on New Year's Eve and holds a record of 0-1-0-0 during the bash since joining the ECHL.
Six Pack
Forward Kory Karlander enters tonight on a six-game point streak. Besides the six-game point streak, Karlander has also registered a goal in four straight games which ties a K-Wings season-high.
