Countdown to Face-Off
November 23, 2008 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Two teams that started the week against each other will finish it facing-off the same way. This afternoon is the fourth game in six days for both teams. The Kalamazoo Wings, who are 1-2-0-0 versus the Port Huron Icehawks this season, defeated Port Huron 5-3 Tuesday night at McMorran Place Arena.
Since dropping two straight to Port Huron, Kalamazoo won three straight at home and five games overall. After today the K-Wings better get use to life on the road. Kalamazoo will commence a five-game road swing next week that will keep them away from Wings Stadium until December 12th.
After watching their five-game winning streak come to a halt to Kalamazoo on Tuesday, Port Huron is looking to return the favor this afternoon. Besides trying to snap the K-Wings' winning streak, the Icehawks are also looking to extend their five-game road winning streak.
