For the first-time since March of 2004, the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates on a Thursday, as they travel to Bloomington to battle the Prairie Thunder. This season, Kalamazoo is 3-1-0 against Bloomington; however, the K-Wings did lose 2-1 in their last encounter against the Thunder on March 9th.
Winless in their last two games, Kalamazoo is ready to make up some ground in the standings. The
K-Wings begin the evening 11 points behind the Muskegon Fury for first-place in both the Eastern Conference and top spot in the United Hockey League.
With victories in their last three games, including a 2-1 win against Kalamazoo at Wings Stadium, Bloomington is back in the playoff hunt. The PrairieThunder are just ten points behind the Chicago Hounds for the last playoff spot in the league.

The next assist for forward Nick Bootland will be a special one. Bootland starts the week needs just one more assist to reach 200 for his career.
Playoff Bound
For the fourth straight season and the fifth in the franchise's UHL history, the Kalamazoo Wings are playoff bound. Already having their postseason ticket punched, the K-Wings now have four weeks to improve their playoff seeding. With 80 points, Kalamazoo needs a win, shootout loss or a Flint loss or shootout loss to secure the second seed in the east.
Must See Hockey
This Thursday in Bloomington, will be the first-time since March 17, 2005 that the Kalamazoo Wings will play on the fifth day of the week. All-time, Kalamazoo is 9-5-1 in contests held on Thursdays.
A Big Mac Attack
When Chris McAllister is in the K-Wings Line-up, they usually win. Kalamazoo is 19-4-4 when McAllister when plays.
