Countdown to Face-Off
Published on February 7, 2007 under International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the fourth time this season and the final this year at the Sears Centre, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Chicago Hounds. Kalamazoo has won all three previous encounters against the inaugural Hounds, outscoring Chicago by a combined score of 17-3.
Without feeling the thrill of victory for three straight games (0-2-1), the K-Wings will attempt the stop the agony of a season tying winless streak. Kalamazoo's last three-game winless streak occurred in mid-November. After snapping the streak, the K-Wings went on to win seven of their next 10 games.
Like the K-Wings, the Hounds haven't had much to wag their tails about. Chicago has dropped two straight games and 13 of their last 20. The Hounds are 3-11 against teams from the state of Michigan, with two of those victories occurring at the Sears Centre.

Putting up the Shots
When the K-Wings outshoot their opponents, they usually win. On the season, Kalamazoo is 19-7-1 when they put up more shots than their opposition.
Snapping a Streak
Kalamazoo will try to put a stop to their current three-game winless streak this evening, on the road against the Chicago Hounds. The three-game streak ties a K-Wings' season high for consecutive losses.
Winning on the Road
Kalamazoo will continue the second leg of a three-game road trip tonight in Chicago. The K-Wings are 14-8-1 in games played away from Wings Stadium. The 14 victories ties Kalamazoo with Fort Wayne for second place in league for road victories.
Here's the Dilleo on Detulleo
Despite having his four-game point streak snapped last Saturday against Fort Wayne, forward Glenn Detulleo has been a clutch performer for the K-Wings. In his last five contests, Detulleo has registered six points (4 goals, 2 assists)
