By commencing a home and home series at Wings Stadium tonight, getting better acquainted won't be an issue for either the Kalamazoo Wings or the Muskegon Fury. The two teams play the return engagement in Muskegon this Friday.

Riding a season tying high three-game winning streak, the K-Wings hit the home ice looking to avenge a 4-3 loss to Muskegon back on October 28th at Wings Stadium. On the season, K-Wings are 4-2-0 defending their home ice.

Rattling off four straight victories, Muskegon comes to Kalamazoo with the longest current winning streak in the league. The Fury have tasted defeat just once in their 13 games this season and have built an eight point lead for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Captain K-Wing On Fire

K-Wing Captain Nick Bootland has been on a goal scoring tear. Bootland enters the game on a

K-Wings' season high tying three-game goal streak. Nick has also been scoring in the clutch; the forward has two of the team's last three game-winning goals.

Rolling Along

Both Justin Cross and Kory Karlander have been racking up the points. Cross has registered a point in six straight games, while Karlander has tallied a point in five straight contests. The six-game streak ties Cross with Shawn Snider for the K-Wings' season high.

Fitting Right In

Rookie Brett Pilkington is fitting in the K-Wings offense. After scoring one point in his first three games, the forward has four points (3g, 1a) in his last two games, including the game-winning goal on Saturday versus Chicago.

With eight assists, defenseman Casey Handrahan leads the K-Wings in helpers. The 8 assists also ranks Handrahan fourth among all UHL defensemen.
