Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Today's game between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Motor City Mechanics will be the eighth between the division rivals this season. The game is also the first part of a home and home series between the teams. Starting today, the K-Wings and Mechanics will battle three times over the next seven days.

The K-Wings are 4-2-1 against the Mechanics this season; however, Kalamazoo will be looking to snap a two-game winless streak against Motor City. Kalamazoo enters the game four points behind the Muskegon Fury for first place honors in both the league and the Central Division.

Motor City has positioned themselves nicely for a playoff run. While they haven't clinched a playoff spot, the Mechanics, who have gone 8-0-1 in their last nine games, have a five point lead for Quad City and a seven point lead over Richmond for the seven place in the league.
