One of the best rivalries in minor league hockey gets renewed todayt, as the Kalamazoo Wings face-off against the Fort Wayne Komets. This will be the sixth meeting between the teams this season and just the second at Memorial Coliseum. The K-Wings have a record of 2-2-1 against the Komets; however, Fort Wayne has won the last three meetings between the teams.
The K-Wings come into the game ready to start a three-game road swing. In fact, the K-Wings will have to get use to life on the road, as six of Kalamazoo's next seven games will be away from Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo enters the game just one point behind the Muskegon Fury for the top spot in the Central Division.
Fort Wayne enters Memorial Coliseum on a two-game winning streak. The Komets have been red hot, winning six of their last eight games. Fort Wayne enters the game in second place in the Western Division; however, the Komets have just a three-point lead over the Quad City Mallards. The Komets have played well at home, as Fort Wayne is 19-11-1 at the Coliseum this season.

Lighting the Lamp
Kalamazoo's Damian Surma has scored a goal in each of his last four games. The four-game goal streak is the longest goal streak by a K-Wings player and it is also the second longest streak in the UHL.
