Countdown to Face-Off

For the third time this season, the Kalamazoo Wings and the Quad City Mallards will face-off against each other. Unlike their previous encounters, the K-Wings will be the road team. On the season, the K-Wings and the Mallards have spilt preceding games they have played.

After playing four straight games at home, the K-Wings return to the road. In fact, three of their next four games will be road games, including two games at The Mark of the Quad Cities. On the season, Kalamazoo is 16-7-2 away from Wings Stadium.

If the playoffs were to start today, the Quad City Mallards will be in as the 8th seed. The Mallards come into today's game on a four-game unbeaten streak. In their last four games, Quad City has looked impressive going 3-0-1 during the stretch.

On the Road Again

After playing four straight games at Wings Stadium, the K-Wings will get used to life on the road. Three of the next four games for Kalamazoo will be road games, including two in Quad City.

Entering today's game against the Mallards the K-Wings are tied with the Mallards in both the season and all-time series between the teams. Kalamazoo is also 6-6-3 this season against Western Division teams, including 0-4-2 in their last six games against teams from the west.
