Roanoke Valley Vipers News Release

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), fell behind quickly to an offensively dangerous Adirondack team, which never looked back, tallying eight goals in the first and second periods alone to beat the Vipers at the Roanoke Civic Center Sunday evening by a final score of 9-3.

Jonathan Charette got the Vipers on the board at 2:36 of the second period after the Frostbite had gained a 4-0 advantage during the first period of play. Adirondack answered by scoring four more consecutively before Kris Tebbs and the Frostbite would hear from the Vipers offense again. Charlie Elezi would make it 8-2 at the 4:40 mark of the third to net his first goal of the season and his first in a Vipers uniform. David Beauregard would add to the Vipers' side of the scoreboard off an assist from Mike Wiggins at 7:52. With the assist, Wiggins extended his point-scoring streak to four games, giving him points in 16 of his last 17 games played. The Frostbite would score once more before the conclusion of the game to make it a 9-3 final.

The Vipers will be back in action on Wednesday and Friday as they visit this same Adirondack Frostbite club in Glens Falls, NY.
