It will be a Central Division battle tonight in The Garage, when the Kalamazoo Wings lace up their skates against the Motor City Mechanics. This is the third of ten meetings between the teams this year, with all three encounters occurring in Fraser, Michigan. On the season, the teams have spilt the previous two games, with the Mechanics winning the last battle 4-1 back on November 26th.
Kalamazoo has gone 1-0-1 in their last two games and tonight is a big one when it comes to the standings in the division. The K-Wings, who will play the Muskegon Fury this Friday at Wings Stadium, trail the Fury by just two points for the top spot in both the UHL and the division. Kalamazoo is led by Tyler Rennette, who leads the team in scoring with 33 points.
Tonight is equally as important to Motor City. The Mechanics trial the Port Huron Flags by a single point for third place in the division. Also, by going 7-3-0 in their last 10 games, the Mechanics have positioned themselves not only on the heels of the Flags, but just 10 points behind the Fury and eight points behind the K-Wings. The reigning UHL Player of the Week, Adam Edinger leads Motor City in scoring with 28 points.

Getting His Shots In
Forward Nick Bootland tied the K-Wings season high for shots on goal in a game, when he registered 10 shots yesterday against Port Huron. With 112 shots on the season, Bootland not only leads the K-Wings, he is second in the league.
Against the Central
Starting tonight, the K-Wings will play two games against division rivals this week. On the season, the K-Wings are 7-2-1 within their own division.
Not Your Average Joe
Forward Joe Seroski is fourth in the league in goals scored with 16. Seroski is also tied for second in the league in power-play goals with nine.
Shutting the Door
As a team, the K-Wings have recorded a league best five shutouts. Goaltender Joel Martin leads both the K-Wings and league with an amazing four shutouts.
