Richmond RiverDogs News Release
RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond RiverDogs came into tonight's game needing a victory to inch closer to third place Roanoke Valley. The Elmira Jackals came calling and when the final horn blew, the RiverDogs, with a two goal performance from John DiPace and Mike Oliveira's three point night, skated off to a 5-3 victory in front of a Coliseum crowd of 2,314. The win gave General Manager/Head Coach Robbie S. Nichols his 300th UHL coaching victory. In honor of the milestone, the native of Stoney Creek, ONT was named the 1st Star of the Game. Mike D'Alessandro got the win in nets for the RiverDogs as "Dally" stopped 28 of 31 shots.
