Kalamazoo Wings News Release

A rivalry will get renewed as the K-Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets to conclude "Rivalry Weekend" at Wings Stadium. Tonight is the third of seven meetings between the teams this season. The K-Wings are 1-1-0 against their arch-rivals this season, including a 3-2 victory in their last meeting back on January 2nd at Fort Wayne.

After losing last night at home against the Muskegon Fury, the K-Wings are looking to get back to their winning ways. The K-Wings, who have won 13 of their last 15 games, enter tonight tied with the Fury for first place in the Central Division. Kalamazoo is hoping to continue their success against the Western Division. On the season, the K-Wings are 14-4-0 against teams from the west.

Like the K-Wings, Fort Wayne has aspirations of ending the night atop their division. The Komets are just one point behind the Rockford IceHogs for first place in the Western Division. A Komets victory over Kalamazoo, coupled with a Rockford regulation or shootout loss would put Fort Wayne in first place. Fort Wayne enters Wings Stadium on a UHL current high three-game winning streak.
