Countdown to Face-Off
December 31, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The curtain will fall on the 2004 portion of the K-Wings schedule tonight as they host the Kansas City Outlaws. Kalamazoo is 2-1-0 against the Kansas City this season, including a 5-3 victory in the only other meeting of the season played at Wings Stadium played on November 5th.
After losing to the Muskegon Fury last night, the K-Wings want to end the calendar year on high note. Tonight's game will also be the last time the K-Wings will be home for a while. Kalamazoo will play their next six games away from Wings Stadium. The K-Wings will return home on January 14th versus the Elmira Jackals
You won't get any sympathy about the K-Wings future road trip from the Kansas City Outlaws. Earlier this season, the Outlaws endured a UHL season long 15 game road swing. Kansas City is currently in the middle of a six game road trip. Tonight will be game four of the trip, currently the Outlaws are 0-3-0 on the trip. The Outlaws are also in the middle of a six game winless streak.
