Kalamazoo continues their home stand tonight against the Elmira Jackals. For the K-Wings, tonight's game will be the first of two consecutive home games against last year's representatives for Colonial Cup. The Jackals are the defending Eastern Conference champions and the runners-up to the Colonial Cup. Kalamazoo will conclude their four-game home stand this Wednesday, November 10th, against the team that won the Colonial Cup, the Muskegon Fury.

The K-Wings enter tonight's game fresh off a 5-3 victory last night against the Kansas City Outlaws. With three points in last night's game, forward Yannick Carpentier regained the team lead in scoring with 8 points. The streakiest K-Wings coming into the game is Ryan Barnes, who is looking to extend a three-game scoring streak tonight.

The Jackals proved last night how explosive their offense really is. Down 2-nothing to Port Huron entering the third period, Elmira exploded for five goals in the final 20 minutes to defeat the Beacons by the final of 5-3. Elmira's offensive assault is led by Greg Koehler (17 points) and Jason Sessa (16 points, who rank first and second in the UHL in scoring.

Roster Moves The K-Wings have activated defenseman Jason Goulet and forward Tom Ditzer from the team's injured reserve list. In a separate transaction, the K-Wings have place Juraj Durco on the 7-Day IR and have extended Zarley Zalapski from the 10-Day to the 14-Day IR.

Barnes Extends Streak to Three

With two points last night, forward Ryan Barnes has extended his consecutive game scoring streak to three games. The three game streak ties Tim Turner for the K-Wings longest scoring streak of the season.

Shot Gun The K-Wings have amassed 234 shots this season, while only giving up 166. Kalamazoo is averaging 33.4 shots a game, which is the fourth highest total in the UHL. The K-Wings are allowing only 23.7 shots against, which is the fewest in the league.

Double Trouble

The K-Wings will finish off their four-game home stand by playing their next two games against both representatives in last season's Colonial Cup. Besides being the representatives for the Colonial Cup, both the Elmira Jackals and the Muskegon Fury have something else in common; both teams currently lead their respective divisions.
