Cougars Win 3-1 Over The Rebels

FIRST PERIOD



After a shaky start to their powerplay, the Rebels would open the scoring while on the man advantage. Joel Hamilton found the puck behind the Cougars net and fed it out front to Tyson Ness. His shot was deflected but Hamilton found the rebound and beat Red Deer native Mac Engel for his sixth goal of the season. Haydn Fleury also assisted on the 1-0 Rebels goal 2:56 into the game.



Prince George wasted little time in putting the game back on even terms. Zach Pochiro beat Patrik Bartosak for his seventh of the season, assisted by Chase Witala, to make it a 1-1 game at 4:50.



The Cougars took their first lead of the game later in the opening period. Daniel Gibb pinched in from the point and snapped a shot past a screened Bartosak for his second goal of the season. Klarc Wilson and Troy Bourke with the assists. 2-1 Prince George at 15:31.



SECOND PERIOD



No Scoring.



THIRD PERIOD



Klarc Wilson sealed the win for Prince George with an empty net goal, his seventh goal of the season, at 19:19 of the third period. Chase Witala earned his second assist of the night. Cougars win 3-1.
