
Cougars Sign 15-Year Old Forward Alex Forsberg

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars are proud to announce the signing of 15-year old forward Alex Forsberg to a standard Western Hockey League contract.
Forsberg was selected by the Cougars with the first overall pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft in Edmonton on April 29. Forsberg played as an underage centre for the Beardy's Blackhawks of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. Forsberg finished tied for third in league scoring with 72 points and second in assists with 46, while adding 26 goals in 44 games. The Waldheim, Saskatchewan product stands 5'10" and weighs 170 pounds.
"Alex is a real solid addition to the Cougars organization," said Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson. "He's a tremendous player that was ahead of the curve playing Midget AAA in Saskatchewan."
