Oklahoma City Barons News Release
Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons currently lead all of professional hockey with 15 wins. A building block toward that success has been the performance of winger Philippe Cornet.
Cornet, a 6-0, 195-pounder from Val-Senneville, Quebec picked up two goals in the Barons recent three-game road trip to Grand Rapids and Rockford, bringing his season total to 15. Those 15 goals are good for the top spot in the American Hockey League and among the leaders in all of North American professional hockey.
In addition to his league-leading pace for goals scored, Cornet also leads the league in game-winning goals (4) and shooting percentage (39.5%). He has already doubled his goal output from last season when he scored seven goals in 60 games.
