Curtis Hamilton's fi rst pro goal proved to be the game-winner as the Barons held on, 5-4. OKC never trailed in the game, leading 1-0, 2-1 and as much as 5-2 after Hamilton's goal at 9:00 of the third. Triston Grant, Gilbert Brule, Philippe Cornet and Teemu Hartikainen also scored. Yann Danis earned the win.

BMO Harris Bank Center, Rockford, IL

Philippe Cornet scored his league-leading 14th and 15th goals of the season and Ryan O'Marra added an empty-netter as the Barons improved to 5-0 all- time at Rockford with their second win there in 10 days. David LeNeveu stopped 30 of 31 shots in earning his fi fth win, fourth on the road.

Tyler Pitlick's power play goal with 6:02 left in reg- ulation snapped a 4-4 tie and sent the Barons to their third straight win. Gilbert Brule had 2 goals and an assist on the winner. Ryan Keller and Ryan O'Marra had the Barons other goals. Yann Danis made 32 saves in the win.

- THE WEEK PAST: The Barons won all 3 games last week, with 5-4 wins at Grand Rapids book ending a 3-1 victory at Rockford on Saturday. By winning 3 straight and 5 of the last 6, the Barons beginthis week leading the AHL in wins (15), standing points (31) and point percentage (.738).

- THE WEEK AHEAD: The San Antonio Rampage visit the Cox Center on Friday to begin the Barons' only home and home series of the season. The teams travel to San Antonio for a Saturday game at the AT&T Center, where OKC is 2-0-0-0 this season. Both games feature a 7 pm (CST) opening faceoff. Friday will be the Rampage's fi rst visit and the fi rst from a Florida Panthers' affi liate in OKC's brief AHL history. San Antonio was paired with the Phoenix Coyotes last season.

- CORNET NO. 1 IN GOALS: Left winger Philippe Cornet begins the week as the AHL's leading goal scorer with 15. He is also tops in the league with 4 game-winning goals and in shooting percentage at 39.5 (15 goals on 38 shots). Cornet has goals in 5 of the past 7 games, totaling 7 in that time. On 9 occasions this season a Baron has scored 2 goals in a game and Cornet has 4 of those (no other Baron has more than one).

- ANOTHER CHART-TOPPER: Rookie Hunter Tremblay maintains the league lead through Sunday's games with 3 shorthanded goals. Three of Tremblay's 4 goals this season have been shorties, including each of his last 3.

- BLUE LINE SHUFFLE: The Barons had 24 player transactions through Sunday and 20 have involved defensemen. Alex Plante has been recalled by Edmonton and returned to the Barons on 3 separate occasions this season. Last week, Plante was recalled on Tuesday, returned on Friday, called up again on Saturday and sent down Sunday. He also had a one-game swing with Edmonton in late October.

- PLANTE A PLUS: Defenseman Alex Plante was +3 on Sunday, rasing his season total to +13. Plante is part of a multiple-way tie for second in the AHL in plus-minus. Peoria's rookie defenseman Cade Fairchild leads at +16.

- HIGH FIVES: The Barons went 2-for-3 on the power play on Sunday at Grand Rapids, upping their record to 5-0-0-0 when scoring multiple power play goals. OKC has out-shot the opposition in 5 of its fi rst 21 games and has won all 5. The Barons' 3-1 win on Saturday boosted their record in Rockford to 5-0-0-0 during OKC's tenure in the AHL. The Barons have won twice at Rockford this season, but will not visit there again during the regular season.
