NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, were rained out of Saturday's contest with the Frontier Greys.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday with the opener beginning at 2:05 p.m. at the Corn Crib. Right-handers are scheduled to start Game 1 with Kevin Johnson (4-2, 3.53 ERA) for the Belters against Andrew Wellwerts (2-1, 4.50) for the Greys. The nightcap features two more right-handers, Normal's Mike Schweiss (4-5, 3.32) and Jordan Kraus (4-3, 2.02) for the Greys.
Princess and Superheroes Day is the featured attraction on Heartland Bank and Trust Family Fun Day. Anyone dressed as a princess or superhero gets a 50 percent discount on a box seat. Princesses and superheroes will meet fans, and an autograph session with the team and time to run the bases takes place after the game. Broadcast time on WEZC-FM 95.9 and WJBC.com is 1:50.
