CornBelters Rained out at Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, have been rained out for their scheduled 7:05 p.m. game tonight against the Joliet Slammers at Silver Cross Field.
The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday in Joliet. The first game is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. The second contest will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the opener. The CornBelters are scheduled to start right-hander Mike Schweiss (2-4, 3.35 ERA) while the Slammers plan to start lefty Hunter Ackerman (1-1, 9.00) in the opener. The Belters have not announced their second game starter while the Slammers are projected to start righty Kevin Walter (0-2, 3.11).
