CornBelters Place 6 in Frontier League All-Star Game

NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will be represented by six players in next week's 2016 Frontier League All-Star Game.
Named as a starter for the West Division is first baseman Aaron Dudley, who is fourth in the Frontier League in hitting at .342, tied for fourth with nine home runs and fifth in runs batted in with 35.
Second baseman/shortstop Santiago Chirino repeats along with Dudley as an All-Star, carrying a .302 batting average with 59 hits, second in the league.
Right fielder Nolan Meadows leads the Frontier League with 12 home runs and has 34 RBI with a .284 batting average.
Catcher Dylan Kelly is hitting .317 with two home runs and 17 RBI.
Relief pitcher Francisco Carillo has four saves with an earned run average of 0.84 in 23 appearances.
Starting pitcher Mike Schweiss is 2-4 with a 2.65 ERA in nine appearances this season.
The 2016 Y'All Star Game is scheduled for Wednesday, July 13 at UC Health Stadium in Florence, Kentucky. All-Star Week events include the Battle of the Sexes softball game pitting the all-stars against the Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch on Monday, July 11 and the annual Home Run Derby on Tuesday, July 12.
