Copeland Park Open at 11:00 AM Monday for Video Broadcast & Lunch

LA CROSSE, WI - The La Crosse Loggers baseball club will be hosting "Lunch and a Ballgame" on Monday, June 30 at Copeland Park while their team plays at Warner Park against the Madison Mallards.

As part of a unique day-night doubleheader in two different cities, the Loggers will be taking on the host Mallards at Warner Park in a 12:05 p.m. contest. Fans will be able to watch that contest live on the new State Bank Financial video board at Copeland Park tomorrow as the Loggers plan to stream the game on the big screen. Copeland Park will open at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning and admittance into the park for the Noon broadcast will be absolutely free, however the Loggers staff will be offering lunch for purchase including Logger Dog meals before and during the game broadcast.

Once the game is completed at Warner Park in Madison, both teams will board their respective buses and travel to La Crosse to play game #2 with first pitch at Copeland Park scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Monday also serves as the final day of the first half of the 2014 Northwoods League season. Heading into tomorrow, the Loggers trail the Lakeshore Chinooks by two games. Should the Loggers defeat Madison twice and Lakeshore lose both of their scheduled contests against the Kenosha KingFish, the Loggers would win the first half title by viture of a tiebreaker.

Monday is also Max Scherzer Bobblehead Day, presented by Pepsi of La Crosse and Classic Rock 100.1. The first 100 fans to arrive at Copeland Park for lunch at 11:00 a.m. will receive a commemorative Max Scherzer bobblehead and the first 1,000 fans through the gate at 6:00 p.m. for the regularly scheduled contest will also receive a bobblehead of the former Logger and reigning Cy Young award winner.
