Cooper, Nunnally Among Prospects Invited to NBA D-League Elite Camp

BAKERSFIELD, May 13, 2013 - Chris Cooper and James Nunnally will be among top NBA D-League Prospects at the fourth-annual NBA D-League Elite Mini Camp at Chicago's Quest Multisports gym. The camp, which tips off today and runs through tomorrow, features top 2012-13 NBA D-League prospects, giving players the opportunity to display their skills and be evaluated by NBA team personnel.

The two-day event features both drill work and full-court games for players to most accurately showcase their talents. NBA front office executives and scouts are expected to be on hand to evaluate the talent, as NBA teams look to fill Summer League and training camp rosters.

Nine NBA D-League coaches will run the drills and exercises during the camp, while players who competed for 14 of the 16 NBA D-League teams during the 2012-13 season will participate in the event.

The event has previously been held in Los Angeles (2009), Chantilly, Va (2010), and Chicago (2012).

Cooper (6-10, 245, Old Dominion) played in 47 games for the Jam and averaged 3.9 points and 5.8 rebounds. One of his best performances came in the last game of the regular season at Santa Cruz, where he posted 12 points and 19 rebounds in a 106-105 Jam victory. Cooper was selected by Bakersfield in the second round (15^th pick) of the 2012 NBA D-League Draft.

Nunnally (6-7, 205, UC Santa Barbara) averaged 10.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 49 games for the Jam. He had season-highs in points (33) and assists (7) in a 106-105 victory at Santa Cruz on the final game of the regular season. Bakersfield selected Nunnally in the second round (11^th pick) of the 2012 NBA D-League Draft.
