Constant recalled to Hartford

HARTFORD, November 1, 2007: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have recalled defenseman Ryan Constant from their ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Constant, a second-year pro, has played in four games this year with the Checkers and has scored one goal and added an assist for two points, with six penalty minutes and a +2. The 5-11, 205-pound native of Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Manitoba suited up for five games with the Wolf Pack last year, registering five penalty minutes, and chalked up 2-24-26, 76 PIM and a +3 rating in 65 ECHL games with Charlotte. Constant's 26 points were good for second among Checker defensemen.

Prior to turning pro, the 22-year-old Constant played four seasons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for the Opaskwayak Cree Nation Blizzard.
