HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros strive to win on the ice, but off the ice, the organization strives to make the community a better place to live. Here is a list of upcoming events and promotions that the Aeros are hosting in efforts to enhance our community.
SUSAN G. KOMEN NIGHT, NOVEMBER 2 - This Friday night, November 2, the Aeros are hosting their 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness game when they host the Lake Erie Monsters at Toyota Center. The first 3,000 fans at the game will receive a pink hockey stick. Fans can get two lower end zone tickets and two pucks for $40, with $14 going to the Houston affiliate of Susan G. Komen. AEROS FAMILY DAY, NOVEMBER 4 - The second Family Day of the season is on November 4th when the Aeros take on the Lake Erie Monsters. Fans can get four tickets, two Aeros koozies, two Aeros mini-sticks, $20 in Toyota Bucks and free parking, all starting at just $67. The first five people that call (713) 974-PUCK and order a center-ice Family Four Pack will get a Happy Feet DVD if they mention this promotion.
FOOD DRIVE, NOVEMBER 2, 4, 10 and 20 - The Houston Aeros Food Drive will begin THIS FRIDAY and take place on the November 2nd, 4th, 10th, and 20th games. The Aeros will be collecting canned food and non-perishable items at the Houston Aeros Charities table outside of Section 112 until the first intermission. Fans that donate will receive two complimentary tickets to the November 25th game (one-time basis only, but please donate multiple times) for their generous donation. It is the Aeros' goal that no one is hungry during the holiday season, please help the community and bring cans and non-perishable items to the above mentioned games.
4th ANNUAL MILITARY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 10 - The Aeros are saluting our nation's armed forces at the game on Saturday, November 10th. There will be over 2,000 military personnel and their families attending the game. The night will include special presentations to active duty personnel who recently served in Iraq and a swearing in ceremony to the new members of America's military. Sponsor packages are available by calling (713) 974-PUCK.
AEROS CHARITIES GOLF CLASSIC, DECEMBER 5 - Houston Aeros Charities is hosting their 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Wildcat Golf Club benefiting Houston Aeros Charities and Elves & More. Only 10 teams are still available, so call Courtney Eidmen at the Aeros office for more information.
The Aeros will host the expansion Lake Erie Monsters for two games this weekend at Toyota Center. Friday's Susan G. Komen game will begin at 7:35 p.m. and Sunday's game will begin at 4:05 p.m. Tickets are still available for both games by calling (713) 974-PUCK.
