Conquest to bring The Rembrandts and Blue Oyster Cult to Pepsi Arena

Albany, N.Y., March 17, 2004 – The Albany Conquest will bring two mega-hit bands, The Rembrandts and Blue Oyster Cult, to the Pepsi Arena to perform concerts for fans at games. The concerts are the first to be scheduled as part of the arenafootball2 team's Halftime/Post Game Concert series at the Pepsi Arena.

The Rembrandts will perform a "Farewell to NBC's Friends" concert on April 24th as part of the Albany Conquest home game at the Pepsi Arena against the Louisville Fire. Kick-off for the game is at 7:00 p.m.

Blue Oyster Cult will entertain on June 18th, also as part of the Albany Conquest home game, which is against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers with kick-off at 7:30 p.m.

Both bands will perform inside the Pepsi Arena at halftime and again immediately following the games. The post-game concert will last approximately 45 minutes.

"We are giving fans a total entertainment package that includes action packed football games and concerts that are sure to rock the house," said Albany Conquest General Manager Robert Zeig.

· The purchase of an Albany Conquest game ticket also enables fans to attend the performance scheduled for that night.

· Albany Conquest ticket prices are as follows: $8.00, $12.00, $16.00, $28.00, and $41.00.

· Tickets for these events and all Albany Conquest home games go on sale at the Pepsi Arena Box Office on Monday, March 22nd at 10:00 a.m.

The Albany Conquest will play eight regular season home games at the Pepsi Arena this season. Their home opener is April 16th at 7:30 p.m. against the Manchester Wolves and will feature performances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

The Rembrandts are widely known for writing and performing the hit theme song, I'll Be There For You, for the television show, "Friends." The Friends series is concluding on NBC this season. The Rembrandts have released a total of four albums, including LP, which sold over a million copies and went platinum.

The mega rock band Blue Oyster Cult has produced an astounding 21 albums and was founded in the late 1960s on Long Island. One of Blue Oyster Cult's many hit songs is Don't Fear the Reaper, which was recently featured in the film "The Miracle". The group has made numerous television appearances, including on MTV, VH1, The Simpson's, That 70's Show, and Saturday Night Live.
