Connections Added to Empire Field

B.C. Lions News Release
Due to an unprecedented demand for transit service following the Lions' pre-season game on June 20th, TransLink has significantly boosted service to and from Empire Field on Lions game days, including great connections via Hastings Street along with service from the North Shore and the Expo and Millennium SkyTrain Lines.
This season, TransLink is excited to offer 'Football Special' shuttle buses departing from 29th Avenue Station (Expo Line) and Renfrew Station (Millennium Line) every 12 minutes beginning approximately three hours before kickoff.
Without a doubt, TransLink's 'Football Special' shuttle service is the easiest and most efficient way for fans travelling by SkyTrain to arrive safely to Lions games at Empire Field.
With just a 15-minute approximate travel time, the 60-foot articulated buses safely deliver fans to the game, dropping off at the Hastings Street/Windermere Street stop located directly across the street from the south entrance to Empire Field. Following the game, 'Football Special' shuttles will safely return fans to 29th Avenue Station and Renfrew Station departing from Hastings Street near the south gate.
For fans not taking SkyTrain to Lions games at Empire Field, regularly scheduled bus service including the #28 Joyce Station/Phibbs Exchange and the #135 SFU/Burrard Station routes also offer convenient service to the Hastings Street/Windermere Street stop located directly across the street from Empire Field.
