
Connecticut Sun To Hold "Reading Time-Out" Event With Pitney Bowes and Area

WHAT: Connecticut Sun players will take part in a "Reading Time-Out" event with youth in the at the Public Library of New London as part of the "Fast Break To Reading Program" with the WNBA and Pitney Bowes on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 4-5 p.m.
The Connecticut Sun is participating in a season-long initiative to educate youth about reading through and to the "Fast Break To Reading" program. The joint initiative between Pitney Bowes and the WNBA encourages young students to read throughout the season and track their minutes online. The goal is for youth nationwide to collectively reach one million minutes of reading time. engage fans while raising funds for local, community-based literacy programs. Pitney Bowes's participation with the WNBA will help build or renovate a Reading and Learning Center at the end of the season in the community of the team that raises the most funds for literacy.
