
Connecticut Signs Cannon

The Connecticut Sun announced today the team has signed Emma Cannon to a Replacement Contract.
Cannon joins the Sun after appearing in three games for Las Vegas this season. She averaged 2.0 points and 1.7 rebounds. The three-year WNBA veteran signed with the Aces last season (2020) and saw action in one regular season game and six postseason competitions. During the playoffs she averaged 3.8 points and 2.2 rebounds.
Cannon spent the 2017 WNBA season with the Phoenix Mercury where she saw action in 34 games and was signed to a Connecticut Sun training camp contract ahead of the 2019 season.
Prior to signing with the Sun Cannon played for Arka Gdynia (2018-19) in the Polish league and averaged 16.8 points per game, 9.0 rebounds per game and 1.5 assists per game. For the 2020-21 overseas season, the 6-2 forward competed for Elazig Il Ozel Idare in the Turkish KBSL. In 22 games, she averaged 23.1 points, 13.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists. On October 23, 2020, Cannon was named MVP of the Week after she posted 26 points and 22 rebounds in her team's 68-56 victory over Adana Basket.
