Connecticut Sun News Release
UNCASVILLE, Conn. (February 18, 2010) The Connecticut Sun will open the 2010 season by hosting the Atlanta Dream in the first of three preseason games on May 4th at 11 a.m.
Connecticut will also take on the Polish National Team in Mohegan Sun Arena on May 7th at 7:30 p.m. before finishing its exhibition schedule at New York on May 11th at 11 a.m.
"Atlanta was a much-improved team, as they showed last year by making the playoffs, and they will certainly be a contender again in the Eastern Conference," Connecticut Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said Thursday. "As for playing the Polish National Team, I think it's a good opportunity for our fans to see some of the other top players from around the world. We hosted the Chinese National Team in 2004, and it was a great experience."
The Connecticut Sun will open its eighth season at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 15th by hosting the Chicago Sky at 3:30 p.m. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now, and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499) or by visiting www.connecticutsun.com.
