BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors skated in just one game last week, claiming victory in Stockton on Friday night. They will close out the 2007 calendar year this weekend with a pair of home games and one match on the road in Phoenix.
The Condors are 7-15-5 on the season, in 4th place in the Pacific Division, five points behind the 3rd place Stockton Thunder. The Condors and Thunder will meet for the third straight week this Saturday, and Bakersfield is 3-0-0 against their valley rivals.

WEEK IN REVIEW:
Friday, Dec. 21: Condors 6 @ STOCKTON 4
Sean Venedam and Tim Konsorada both scored twice in a 6-4 comeback victory for Bakersfield Friday night. After opening the game with a 2-0 lead, the Condors surrendered four straight tallies and trailed the Thunder 4-2 midway through the final period. But a goal by rookie LW Mark Derlago and two by Konsorada not only erased the deficit, but put Bakersfield back in front. Venedam, playing in his first game since Dec. 1, added an empty net goal to seal the win. G Yutaka Fukufuji stopped 27 shots in earning his sixth win of the season.
GRIFFITH NAMED TO ALL-STAR TEAM
Condors F Todd Griffith was named to the National Conference All-Star Team on Friday. The second year winger represented the Condors last season as well. The 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All- Star Game will take place on Wednesday, January 23 in Stockton, California. The Skills Competition will take place on Tuesday night.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
F Sean Venedam was activated from the 7-day IR on Friday and scored twice in the Condors win. His last game was on Dec. 1. Venedam has 5g-3a in the last three games he has played.
F Todd Griffith notched an assist on Friday to extend his point scoring streak to 10 games, the longest of the season for the Condors. During the stretch he has 6g-5a-11pts.
D David Kudelka was transferred from the 3-day IR to the 7-day IR on Friday.
C Tim Konsorada has tied his career high with 16 goals on the season already. He is one goal shy of 50 in his professional career.
LW Brett Lutes notched his 100th career assist on Friday night.
LW Jesse Bennefield was suspended by the Condors on Friday.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
Bakersfield will head down to Phoenix for a match-up against the RoadRunners on Thursday, Dec. 27 before coming home to host the Stockton Thunder at The Nest on Saturday, Dec. 29.
The game on Dec. 29 will be the KGET-TV 17 and Quad Knopf Paul Rosebush Bronze Statue Giveaway and #17 jersey retirement. The first 2,000 fans 17 & older will receive a bronze statue of Condor great Paul Rosebush and his #17 jersey will be hung at Rabobank Arena in a special ceremony as well. Rosebush is the Condors all-time leader in games played (416), penalty minutes (900) and game- winning goals (20). He is third all-time with 239 points and 129 goals, as well. Doors open at 7 p.m., puck drops at 8 p.m.
The Condors close out 2007 by hosting the Las Vegas Wranglers on Sunday, Dec. 30. Everyone in attendance will receive a Condors Cheer Sign, courtesy of Bakersfield Californian, KERN 1410 AM and Lennar Homes. Doors open at 5 p.m., puck drops at 6 p.m.
After the game on Dec. 30, there will be a Season Ticket Holders Skate with the Condors, during which all season ticket holders are invited to take the ice with the team immediately following the final buzzer (limited skate rental available for $5.00).

Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Channel 21, and will be re-aired Sunday night at 10 p.m. Each televised game this season will be available to digital cable subscribers via Bakersfield On Demand (channel 300) beginning the Tuesday after the original air date.

Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. The box office will be open from noon - 7 p.m. on Dec. 30 for the Condors game at 6 p.m.
