TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors play game three of a four-game homestand tonight with their third meeting of the season against the Utah Grizzlies. It the first of a three game week for the Condors, who play Utah at home on Friday before heading to Stockton on Sunday afternoon.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield split a two-game set wth the Ontario Reign over the weekend, winning the first by a 4-2 margin before being shutout, 1-0 on Saturday night. The Condors received two goals from C Jacob Lagace in Friday's win and C Tyler Maxwell picked up his first professional fighting major on Saturday. G Scott Greenham started both games and took a hard-luck loss on Saturday, making 44 saves.
THE SITUATION
Bakersfield's loss to Ontario proved costly as San Francisco was able to win on Sunday and gained two points in the ECHL Western Conference playoff race. The Condors sit eight points back of the Bulls with eight games remaining in the regular season. Bakersfield will host five of their final eight games on home ice. San Francisco is on the road tonight in Stockton and then hosts Utah on Saturday and Sunday at home.
CONDORS NOTES
G Scott Greenham has made 40 or more saves on six occasions this season, including Saturday night. He is fifth in the ECHL with 1,059 saves while his teammate G Brian Stewart is 3rd with 1,174... RW Scott Freeman has eight game-winning goals in his Condors career which is tied for eighth in team history. All four of his goals this season have been game-winners... D Erik Burgdoerfer is seven games shy of 200 for his Condors career. Only four other Condors defensemen (Glen Mears, Scott Balan, Quinn Fair, Kevin Truelson) have accomplished that milestone...
