TONIGHT
The Condors and Wranglers face off for the 13th time this season, after Bakersfield took a 2-1 shootout win last night over Las Vegas. It was the first time in 12 meetings that a game went to overtime, but the Condors improved to 9-3-0-0 in the season series. Bakersfield is 6-1-0-0 in their last seven games against Vegas.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
G Laurent Brossoit made 26 saves and stopped three of four in the shootout, as the Condors took a 2-1 shootout win against Las Vegas last night. RW Jordan Knackstedt scored his 19th goal of the season late in the 2nd to tie the game up at 1-1, and added a shootout tally. C Joel Broda and D Erik Burgdoerfer also scored in the extra session for Bakersfield.
PLAYOFF PICTURE
Bakersfield has a magic number of five points to clinch at least 6th place over the Stockton Thunder. But directly in front of them is the 5th place Colorado Eagles, who are idle today, but sit just two points ahead of Bakersfield in the standings. Last night, Idaho jumped past Utah in the Western Conference standings into third place, and if the season ended today the Steelheads would be the Condors first round opponent.
CONDORS NOTES
The Condors received F Greg Miller back from Oklahoma City (AHL) and added him to the lineup for today. He is the team leader with 21 goals and 48 points... F Chris Collins has missed the last two games due to injury, but returns to the lineup today. He has 10 points (5g-5a) against Las Vegas... RW Jordan Knackstedt is tied with Collins for the team lead against the Wranglers with 10 points (3g-7a)... G Laurent Brossoit tied an ECHL record with his 8th shutout earlier in the week. Although not expected to play today, he is 3-0 this week and his 2.05 GAA is .01 behind the league leader.
