PHOENIX, Ariz. - C Bruce Graham scored his first two goals as a Bakersfield Condor in a 4-3 victory over the Phoenix RoadRunners before 2,350 fans at U.S. Airways Center Sunday evening.

The RoadRunners (15-17-3, 33pts) and Condors met for the third consecutive night, and took a while to get started offensively. A scoreless opening frame found the Condors (13-21-5, 31pts) outshot 9-8. G Yutaka Fukufuji got the nod in net, one night after a strong relief appearance in an overtime loss.

2009-01-18 graham Goals came early and often in the second, however, as the teams combined for five tallies. Phoenix took the 1-0 lead just 1:44 into the frame, only to see Bakersfield rally with two straight to move out in front. F Brett Pilkington blasted home a one-timer at 4:33 to tie it, and C Bruce Graham potted his 11th of the season at 14:07 to make it 2-1. After a LW John McNabb goal tied it at 15:38, Graham struck again, tickling the twine for his second of the night to regain the advantage at 16:10 on the power play. The Condors put up 15 shots in the period against Phoenix G Kyle Jones.

Bakersfield extended the lead on their 30th shot of the game over halfway through the third. Just seconds after killing off a Phoenix power play, F Matt Pope recorded his 23rd of the season to make it 4-2 at 13:07. Pope will head to the All-Star Game this week with a three-game goal streak in tow. D Dane Crowley made it a one-goal game with just over three minutes left in regulation, but its as close as they would get. Fukufuji finished the night with 31 saves to get the win, and the Condors took three of a possible four points from their two-game swing in Phoenix.
