CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors host the Manitoba Moose for High School/College Student ID Night, presented by Energy 95.3. It is the first of two home games on the week against the Moose for Bakersfield, who are on home ice for 10 of their next 14 games.

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors begin a very home heavy stretch tonight against the Manitoba Moose. It is the third meeting of four between the two sides, who wrap the season series on Friday in Bakersfield. The Condors are home for 10 of their next 14 games through the month of February.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield was swept on the road in two games against San Antonio to finish .500 on a four-game road trip (2-2-0-0). On Saturday night, D Dillon Simpson scored his first goal of the season while C Jujhar Khaira returned from suspension with a goal and fight in a 5-2 loss.

Manitoba is 0-2-2-1 on their current eight-game road trip. Over the weekend, G Eric Comrie made an AHL season-high 49 saves in a 2-1 shootout loss to Stockton, while the Moose forced overtime late in the third period on Saturday before falling in overtime, 3-2 to the Heat.

YOUTH REIGNS SUPREME

Manitoba's roster features six 20-year old players (Petan, Lodge, Blomqvist, Kostalek, Morrissey, Comrie) and another player born in 1995, leading scorer C Chase De Leo, who turned 21 in October. By contrast, the Condors have no 20 year olds, and six 21-year old players with the youngest being D Ben Betker, who does not turn 22 until September.

CONDORS NOTES

RW Zack Kassian had a goal and assist in six games with the Oilers before being reassigned to Bakersfield on Sunday... After scoring in five straight games, the Condors power play went goalless in 10 opportunities in two games over the weekend... C Jujhar Khaira has four points (1g-3a) in five games since returning from Edmonton... D Brad Hunt is third among AHL defensemen in power play points with 14... The Condors are 9-6-0-1 on home ice this season... No AHL team has played in fewer overtime games than the Condors (AHL).

MOOSE NOTES

G Eric Comrie has played the fifth most minutes of any AHL netminder at over 1,674. He has made the most saves in the AHL with 845... C Chase De Leo is t-16th in rookie scoring with 22 points. His 106 shots paces all rookies... D Brenden Kichton is t-16th in defensive scoring with 22 points... Moose winger Matt Fraser spent half of last season with the Edmonton Oilers.
