G Yutaka Fukufuji (right) stopped 45 of 46 shots to lead the Condors to a 3-1 victory against the Steelheads in the second of three straight games between the two teams. After a scoreless first frame, RW Chad Painchaud found the back of the net on a shorthanded breakaway early in the second and was promptly followed by rookie F Nick Pernula's first ECHL goal just 1:59 later. Fukufuji continued to blank the Steelheads with 18 saves in the middle frame alone and Bakersfield held a 2-0 lead through two. Idaho got on the board 8:44 into the third, but F Matt Pope sealed the win with a power play goal in the final minute of action.

Saturday, Dec. 20

F Matt Pope (left) tallied midway through the second and F Andrew Ianiero lit the lamp early in the third to pull the Condors within striking range at 3-2, but Idaho responded with a pair of goals in the final frame to pad their lead and account for the 5-2 final.
