Commissioner's Cup Championship Game Set for July 26 at Chicago's Wintrust Arena

LAS VEGAS - The Chicago Sky beat the Indiana Fever Thursday evening, 93-84, and in the process, secured home court for the Commissioner's Cup Championship Game against Las Vegas on July 26. The Aces will travel to Wintrust Arena for a 5:30 pm tip in the quest for the cup.

Chicago (16-6) and Las Vegas (15-7) each went 9-1 in Cup play this season, putting the location of the Championship game in the hands of the tiebreaker gods. The first tiebreaker is head-to-head record, and the teams split their two games to date. The second tiebreaker is overall record as of the All-Star break, and the Sky have a one-game edge giving them hosting privileges.

For the Aces, hitting the road for the Commissioner's Cup adds to an already lengthy road trip scheduled to begin at the end of the month. Las Vegas plays six straight road games from July 26 through August 7. That is one of the longest continuous road trips in WNBA history.
