
Comets end Knights two game winning streak

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Silver Knights (9-8, Eastern Division #2) had their two game winning streak snapped by the Missouri Comets (16-3, Central Division #1) at the War Memorial on Sunday.
The Comets held the Silver Knights scoreless in the second half, ending the match on a 6-0 scoring run.
Despite the loss, Kenardo Forbes continued his sparkling form. The Jamaican scored SSK's opening goal. Over the last five games, Forbes has scored six goals with eight assists.
Goalkeeper Bryan O'Quinn returned for Syracuse after dealing with a calf injury. He made a season-high 18 saves in the loss.
The win was Missouri's first ever victory in the War Memorial, leveling the all-time series at 5-5.
The Salt City club will play their Eastern Division rivals, the Harrisburg Heat next on February 26 before returning home to face the Cedar Rapids Rampage.
