6 of your Silver Knight's have been called to Team USA!
USNAST announced today that they have called up five players from the MASL's Syracuse Silver Knights to complete the US National Arena Soccer Team roster for Sunday's game against Canada at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
Slavisa Ubiparipovic, Jake Schindler, Ben Ramin, Patrick Thompson, and Andrew Coughlin join USNAST regular Joey Tavernese to complete the Syracuse Six Pack in Sunday's 14-player lineup.
Ubiparipovic, 31, has spent the last seven seasons in Syracuse and was second on the team with 39 points this year.
Schindler is a seven year veteran, playing the last three seasons in Syracuse after four seasons with the Rochester Lancers. The 30-year old defender had a career high 16 points this past season.
Ramin, 24, had a breakout season with Syracuse in his first full season in the MASL. Ramin busted loose with 11 goals and seven assists this season after playing seven scoreless games in 2016/17.
Thompson, a 26-year old midfielder, is a five year veteran, who has played for the Pennsylvania Roar and Harrisburg Heat prior to joining the Silver Knights.
Coughlin, a third-year goalkeeper, was one of only two netminders in the MASL this season to start all 22 games. He went 13-7 with a 5.63 GAA.
